Century 21 M&M is proud of our Associates. For this reason we will be hosting “Meet M&M’s Agent” on a weekly basis.

Jesse Gibbs is not only an Agent, he manages the Los Banos office and acts as Director of Public Relations & Business Development and Director of Recruiting.

Recently we got a chance to ask Jesse a few questions;

M&M: As Director of Public Relations you spearhead the Coats for Kids program. Tell us a little bit about that…

JG: For the past three years we have been a Major Sponsor of the News10 Coats for Kids Drive benefiting families not only in the News10 viewing area but in all of the Communities Century 21 M&M have offices.  We collect both new and used coats from the end of October thru December and give those Coats to places like the Salvation Army who then distribute the Coats to families in need in our local Communities.  This is one of many ways we give back to the Communities that support us in our business.
M&M: Currently you are promoting a raffle benefit for Coats for Kids, how does that work?

JG: We are currently selling 500 Raffle tickets in total.  Each raffle ticket is valued at $50.00 with a chance to win prizes all Valued over $100.00!  Prizes include iPads, Vacation Getaways, Kindles, Gas Cards and More!!!  There will be 21 Prizes in all!  This a great opportunity to win some great prizes while benefiting a very good cause and it’s a Tax write-off. NOTE: Feel free to contact Jesse for more information at jessegibbs@c21mm.com for more information.

M&M: You are Director of Century 21 M&M Recruiting and in that capacity you interview prospective associates; what is the one question you always ask in an interview?

JG: “Why do you feel it’s a great time to be in real estate?”  I want to know where they are at with this question because many people say today, “Why would you want to be in real estate?” With the media’s constant negativity about real estate I want to make sure prospective team members are promoting the right, positive approach to today’s market.  This is a great time to get into real estate and re-brand yourself.  Agents who survive and thrive today will be even more successful and educated down the road when the market does change.  Real estate is an up and down cycle and in a down cycle true professionals thrive.  I want new System members to be prepared to answer this question and not be discouraged by others who do not understand the true market cycle.  Those that answer this question who may seem to be somewhat discouraged by the market or what they are hearing turns into a great coaching moment of why they should be with Century 21 M&M!

M&M: You’re a lifelong resident of California’s Central Valley. What makes this area so unique?

JG: There are really two things that are unique about Northern California’s Central Valley.  One is the affordability of homes in the area, and two, the proximity to both the ocean and the mountains.  Travel in either direction and within an hour and a half you can be in the Napa Valley, San Francisco Bay Area, Tahoe or Yosemite.   No matter what the season, there is always something to do close by!
