John Melo, CEO, and Larry Matos, President,  put themselves in front of the News 10 camera on the ‘Sacramento & Co.’ show today, Friday, November 13, 2009 at 9:00am. They did a great job of getting the word out to the public that they can drop off their coats at any one of our twenty real estate offices; Clovis, Dixon, Escalon, Fairfield, Green Valley, Livingston, Lodi, Los Banos, Madera, Manteca, Merced, Modesto, Oakdale, Patterson, Rio Vista, Stockton, Tracy, Turlock, Vacaville and West Sacramento.

As of today, Century 21 M & M Real Estate has 35 more days to collect Coats for Kids. If you can’t find a coat in your closet and money is tight, consider visiting a local thrift store such as; the Salvation Army, the Goodwill, and the Hope Chest. For a few bucks (under $5.00) you can pick up a child-size coat and help keep a kid warm this winter.

  1. bnla2369 has made a comment on CENTURY 21 M&M – Sac&Co – Coats for Kids:

I have great admiration for these two gentlemen. They have always had a desire to “pay back” to their community and this is one of the “vehicles” they have chosen. A very wise choice and we can all help by bringing in coats for the Children. The upcoming winter will be very cold and we need to do all we can by keeping these children warm.
Once again, kudos to Larry Matos and John Melo. “A man never stands so tall as when he kneels to help a child.”

  2. The Twists of Life
Life is served up as a constant stream of events, some good, some bad, some which seem unfair. Sometimes we complain that what we have received seems less desirable then others, but in the end we control our destiny. We can decide how the twists that life serves up affect us. We know we are our authentic self, when we find that inner knowing that happiness lies in how we respond to the twists life brings. It is then that we can see the best in ourselves, and those around us, even as we make mistakes, experience pain of being hit by the shadows in life. It is in those moments that we decide if we will focus on the negative or the positive aspects of our selves, and we know that our life hold the potential for unlimited pain and unlimited happiness. The choice of how much of each we take is ours alone…
